I would like to hear brief impressions of this headset...it must be in this picture for a reason....Enjoying the Camerton Binom-ER off the incredible Armageddon and impressive Pandora’s Box.Nice way to have a good break after a long week. The Binom-ER courtesy of @Uncle Wilson of Jaben SG.

Wow, beautiful! I hope the sound is as exquisite as it looksDear friends, this is my first photo of a zero working copy of the SAEQ Astraeus.
Due to its complexity, the project took us much more time than we planned...
- Direct Input stage ECC 88 tube,
- Volume control in 99 steps (we reduced it from 250 to 99 because the first one is irrational...)
- Input single end unit to the power amplifier PNP Germanium transistor which translates the tube
much more beautifully towards the silicon output stage.
- Output stage initially in A-class and output components with a current limit of about 10A
- Remote control
- Innovative memory system of two different acoustic levels when testing headphones of different sensitivity
Acoustically we managed to translate the taste of the tube through the output very authentically.
All my projections about the time needed to complete this project have been exceeded...
it was simply too complicated to make an amp that would be able to handle sensitive headphones
even though it has tubes plus germanium transistors.
I was rewarded with a beautiful space and wonderful micro-details with tube physiology.
I hope to have even more refined details and better photos in coming weeks.
There will also be pictures of the internal construction...
I am coming out of the construction euphoria - a hole in the fresh air and light finally... with a smile.
Looks great, Dragan! Look forward to when @Uncle Wilson at Jaben Singapore receives the demo unit!Dear friends, this is my first photo of a zero working copy of the SAEQ Astraeus.

Thanks ..dimension 366 x 245 x 132mm weight net 10kg.Wow, beautiful! I hope the sound is as exquisite as it lookscan’t wait to hear impressions.
May I ask the physical dimension of Astraeus? (width x depth x height)

Thank you for the positive comment. The export price (excluding tax and shipping) is US $9,800.Wow. This amp sounds impressive. Dare I even ask what the US$ price range might be?

Hybrids are a serious competitor to fully tube amplifiers. Thanks for the pricing. As a totally solid state person, I have always wanted to try the tube experience but the heat, the bright lights, and the need to replace tubes all the time have kept me from trying tube amplification. Your new device looks like everything is enclosed and that maybe some of my worry about light and heat might be addressed. Do you think your new device might address my “tube” issues? How often does one need to replace tubes in your device? Please excuse these dumb tube questions but I know nothing about tubes, except that so many audiophiles swear by them.

Hybrids are a serious competitor to fully tube amplifiers.
The sound is very respectable and refined, durability and reliability are certainly significantly extended...
In the end, the personal affinities and sensibilities of the buyer decide![]()
