Situation:
Current setup -- Marantz SA8001>EF1>HF2 or HD650.
Will be purchasing HD800 in the future.
Listen to everything from Tool to Norah Jones and Eva Cassidy; but not rap.
Like sound of SA8001>EF1>HF2 with RCA cleartop; HD650 seems dull with this setup, no better than the HPOut of the SA8001.

Looking for an amp upgrade with synergy with the SA8001/HF2/HD650/HD800:
Budget -- Best bang for the buck; prefer < $1,500 but could go $2,500.
SS or tube -- Don't care; looking for best sound/synergy.
Currently considering WA22 or EC Zana Deux; would prefer spending less.
Flexibility to go balanced would be good, but not essential.
Willing to go B22 or other custom if knew where to go to get a good build.

And makes sense with the low-impedance load of the HF2s. I'll research the WA6SE further, particularly with regard to synergy with the SA8001.
