Hi all,
having discovered belatedly that I find real differences in power cords and i/cs, I'd like some opinions from those who have actual experience on these two issues.
It would appear that unsheilded PCs and i/cs have a more open sound and are more dynamic? It would also appear that sheilding robs cables of dynamics.
The only sheilding I use at present is inside my tube amps for incoming delicate signal wiring.
I've used silver/plated and pure silver chassis wiring but it's always been in a 'mixed' environment, so don't know what difference if any it makes to have all of one kind in my amps.
Just recently I have aquired a freebie copper solid cored i/c that has silver plated braid. This I find to be fantastic - the best I have ever heard but why. Is it the solid core copper, or this coupled with braid, silver plated or not.
I know this is a can of worms but I'd like some opinions before I go and buy some reels of whatever.
