It looks like Apple may get off the sidelines and up their portable music game. There is lots of Internet conjecture that Apple will upgrade the two plus year old iPod touch, give it more capacity (128 gigs) and announce a Beats music service which will presumably be hi resolution to compete with other services like Tidal and the Pono. Given their gigantic customer base and a rumored new ITunes as well I'm guessing they will also be selling hi resolution musicl. Perhaps those who purchased lossy files previously will be able to "upgrade" for a nominal charge. Their customer base is already in place along with credit card information. It should be interesting!
