I'm looking to get a rugged MP3 player with a tuner in it (would like AM and FM but just FM will do fine) for my father for christmas. He'll probably will use it while mowing the lawn with the tractor, using the backhoe, and doing other lawn work. I've been looking at the Rio s30s and S35. I bought him a pair of Shure E2c earphones to go with the mp3 player. Preferably the player wouldn't need an amp, but I can build a little altoids tin one easily. Any other recommendations or opinions on those Rios?

Just that I'd keep it to 128 megs at a minimum. For the 64 meg model that's decent amount of money for only being able to carry around one album. In that case MD almost seems attractive.
