I was on the web searching for some more information on the $110 hybrid amp that doobooloo was gracious enough to help set up a group buy for and I ran into this website in China showing a guy who had done some major tweaking with his "$110" amp.

I stumbled across a page of pictures on the site showing some other amps that he has in his collection! At first glance, they look exactly like the Rudistor RP-5 that I am also cosidering to get. Comparing them to pictures of RP-4/PR-5, you can see the faceplates of RP-4/PR-5 are screwed to the main chassis with crews at the four corners. Theyhave detachable powercords, and only one set of RCA inputs on the backplate. Unfortunately, there's no picture showing what these amps look like inside. I was not able to find an e-mail link anywhere on the site.

I own an RP5 and, actually, the pictures you've posted are not very similar. True, my amp has a silver faceplate with volume knob in the middle, all attached to a black housing. Having said that, the external visual similaritiies pretty much stop there. The RP5 faceplate is much larger, the volume control knob has a slightly rounded face (not flat), black housing is ribbed on the sides, not smooth, RP5 housing is vented on top, details of faceplate are different, etc. At any rate, these items matter little, its what's inside that counts. That is something the pictures don't tell us.
