Hoping some great minds will be able to help me out.
I have a Ray Samuels SR71A, which is causing me some heartache:
1.I put it away without the batteries for a month.
2.Reinstalled new alkaline batteries
3.Turn it on after Zune, iPod, cd-player(doesn’t seem to matter) and headphones are plugged in.
4.It plays for about 5 seconds and then sound fizzles to silence.
5.Re plug in interconnect plays for about 5 seconds and fizzles to silence.
6.Sent it back to Ray, and he found nothing wrong with the amp, however he replaced the input & output connectors.
7.Just got it back and 2-5 is happening again
Please help what am I missing?

I'd call up Ray and describe your problems

or sell it and choose a different amp.

I was thinking it might be the batterie's themselve's, are You using the same brand as before, or a different brand, it might make a difference. It could be the battery feed itself, a loose connection.

tried 3 different brands of batteries, 3 different interconnects, 3 different sources no luck....

You could try talking to SkyLab and or Project86, they both do a lot of amp review's +, maybe just maybe one of them has heard of a problem like this.
