I' ve just received a new SR-71A this afternoon. I plugged my DX90 into it to drive my HD600 and realized that the sound is narrow and compressed. The HD600 (more than 120 hours burn-in) drived by only the DX90 (more than 400 hours burn-in) produces a very detail, airy sound with sweet treble, good mid and just enough but beautiful bass. Thus, I'm planning to burn my SR-71A before using it. However, I don't know how much time is needed to burn the amp and which gain, volume level would be ideal. I'm also wondering if I can use the burn-in cable of the DX90 to burn the amp, too. I really need advice from portable full-side headamp owners and especially SR-71A owners.
