So ... in the absence of head-fi i bought myself an rpx-33. Quick question for the lucky ones who adore it as much as me: high or low gain for the edition 9? at the monet i'm satisfied with the low gain output ,but what is your opinion?

Let your ears do the talking.

I use low. I haven't tried high in a while, but you may introduce some hiss.

But like slwiser said, compare for yourself.

It should be on the low gain, the Editions are pretty sensitive, mine is set in the middle as I have only one gain...if you tell Rudi which heapdhone you will have before rodering, probably he will set it in the right gain for it and let you know which will be, I'm sure he did that...

BTW the RPX33 should have no hiss in either jack the noise floor is like 120db, and unless you use IEM, in which case, the RPX33 is not the amp for you, as the gain will be too high...

I need $ to buy one of these beauties. It is an amp I keep lusting after, recently I had an opportunity to get an used one for a great price. But money got in the way.

Originally I wanted the RPX-100 but now I could live w/ the 33.
