The version of "Out of Time" on the UK version of "Aftermath" is the original version. It is also longer than the version on "Flowers." The version on "Metamorphosis" is an out-take (or demo, as are all the cuts on the CD) and is inferior to the original on "Aftermath."

Actually, the version on the (US) Flowers album is the same actual take as the original on the UK Aftermath album - but unlike the UK version, which runs for all of 5 minutes 36 seconds before fading out, the US version fades out after 3 minutes 40 seconds.

And BTW, the original assemblers of Hot Rocks wisely chose the live version of "Midnight Rambler" (which first appeared on Get Your Ya-Ya's Out!) - instead of the Let It Bleed studio version - for inclusion in that compilation.
