Howdy. I have been lurking on this forum for a few weeks and have found it very informative. I have been thinking about installing Rockbox on my 4GPhoto60 (you know, fixing stuff that ain't broke again...) but was wondering if it would make communication between the iPod and my car stereo problematic. I have a 2003 MINI with the HK "premium" audio system and the BMW factory iPod interface. In order to use this setup, which is a bit limited in its utility anyway, you have to create 5 playlists that have to be named MINI1, MINI2, MINI3 etc...Any other naming will make the playlists invisible. This system came with the car, which I bought used, and I was hoping to keep it stock. Does anybody have any experience with Rockbox and car iPod adapters of this type? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I'm almost positive this will not work. AFAIK the only output you can get using Rockbox is analogue audio, there is no facility currently, to get any form of signal output/input, so even remotes will not work.
