I'm upgrading from Topping D30+L30, and these two seem to have the features that I need. I want to know which one could be better in terms of imaging, soundstage, and resolution. I'm leaning towards the Monolith because it has Dynamic Range Control, where I can hear every detail in the same volume ratio. Does the ADI 2 have Dynamic Range Control? My next headphone is the HD 8XX, and I would like to know which one would be a better match. Thanks.

The ADI is far and away the better DAC. The Monolith is the better amp. Neither are a big step up from what you're using now.

I'd only consider upgrading to the adi2 if you actively going to use the features. Check the loudness part of the manual.
