I'm looking to rip my existing CD collection to 320 kb mp3 but I hear that the iTunes encoder isn't that good for mp3's. Can anyone refute that claim? Is there a better ripper out there?

I should mention that I'm using OSX.

From what I've read ( on this very forum, via quick search ) MAX seems to be the go-to CD ripping program for Mac. BTW, if you don't want to have to rerip your CDs, I'd back them up ( since you're on Mac ), in .aiff format, then just down convert to any lossy codec you need later on.
