I didn't see anything on here when the last surviving original member of the Ramones passed away in July.

Yeah, very few bands can come close to how they sounded for punk rock, and none could reach their level IMO. That was how much they covered in their music.

As Joe Strummer of the Clash (RIP Joe) once said, the Ramones were like a military assault. They were probably the most fierce band that ever existed. I saw them live a few times, and there is no way I could forget it if I tried.
