We lost a colossus today. Bruce's work delighted and inspired millions, both creators and listeners. He set the bar so high for every other sound engineer that followed him. I will pull out my best kit and play Thriller tonight, admiring the incredible gift of sound the man gave us. Thank you for the amazing sounds, maestro.

Off the Wall in my opinion is probably the greatest pop album of all time and I especially love it on vinyl record (at least my version of it).

On the Thriller album, Michael Jackson used the Shure SM7b microphone. One of the greatest microphones of all time and it’s only around $400. A great example of how affordable gear can be amazing.
