i want to record some DVD-tracks for my mp3-player. although i have line-in and recording-function, i would prefer to encode them to ogg vorbis (my player only records mp3).
so i thought there might be some tool that can rip audio from a DVD. does anyone know such a program? either freeware or cheap?
thanks a lot for any suggestions!

hi,

never did it myself (the DVD ripping thing), but did you try to put "Rip Audio from DVD to ogg" in google?

There are programs. Look hard enough and you'll find them.

Breaking copyright protection is illegal, though.

I don't know if there is some other stipulation for DVD, but is it illegal if the person owns the DVD that they are ripping for their own purposes? Such as ripping music DVDs?
