I can't believe some of the stuff I run across looking through the consumer electronics (as well as other) auctions on ebay.

This most recent example made me laugh.

What is something everyone needs in their home??

A melted bose AM double cube speaker:

But according to the seller: "One speaker is in great condition while the other is alittle warped. A drape caught fire below the speaker and warped the housing alittle but did no damage to the sound of the speaker at all. I took pictures of the cones to prove that the square shape was not compromised and the cones and woofers are in perfect shape."

well, I've seen a packet of bbq sauce go for $1 (the kind you get at a fast food restaurant), an american dollar go for $1.25 + stamp, and nothing (yes, the auction was selling nothing) for $225

I once saw an auction for an empty can of soda that supposedly had a ghost in it. It ended in the thousands.
