Hello,
 
I've recently lost my Etymotic HF2 (such a sad thing) and I am looking for another pair.
 
So far, I've been looking at the RHA MA750, the Shure SE215 and some others.
Which is a better choice for music such as house/ electronic and classical?
I really loved the clarity and sound of the HF2, so can these two or any can other IEMs compare?
 
My price range is >$150 and if you could suggest any other IEMs, that would be great!
Any suggestion or opinion is greatly appreciated!
 
Oh and I have another question, is an DAC/amp useful?

The RHAs are superb value for money, I would personally go with that.
 
An amp/DAC wouldn't have much significant effect, but this really depends on what you're using to play your music.

The SE215 is not nearly as good as the MA750. Unless you absolutely need the isolation go for the MA750.

Recently bought some RHAs. They're awesome! At first I wasn't a fan of the bass, but after some burn in they've become everything I wanted them to be! For the money, the quality (sound and build) simply cannot be beat. Not to mention they have an amazing warranty!!

I have SE215 for almost 6 month and love it, balance sound, warm, not bass head. This IEM will be my preference (baseline) when plan to buy another IEM
 
Last week I decided to order RHA MNA 750 after read lot of review for <$200 IEM. I also consider ; GR07, RE-400 or re-cabling SE215 with Oyaide cable.
I will update you after received and test the RHA .I hope RHA deliver different sound signature than SE215.

Just received RHA MA750 today,
Here my first impression, compare to SE215.
DAP:iBasso DX50, DELL+HifimeDIY eSabre DAC.
Music: Ingram Washington vocal, Peter White and Fourplay

RHA MA750 with memory foam (remeneber this brand new iem, need burn in
Bass: Tight ,controlled but not much as SE215 (7/10)
Midrange:Good detail, litle bit forward but thin for male vocal. (7.5/10)
Treble: Open, airy..good, not fatigue (8/10)
This IEM bright, i expect after burn in periode will be better
Soundstage wider than SE215
Built: 9/10

SE215 (i used for 6 month)
Bass: Bigger bass volume but not tight as MA750 (7/10)
Midrange:feel thick but it could be came from bass crossing this area...sometime feel muddy (6.5/10)
Treble: Decent (7/10)
SE215 is wam iem
Built:7.5/10
Another good thing of SE215 is interchangeable cables, you can upgrade cable to get better sound.

Both IEMs are good for price range $99-200, no wonder Tyll from InnerFidelity put those IEMs in his Wall of Fame
Again, back to your preference, if you need the detail go to MA750, for more bass volume(not tight) go to SE215.

My 750i just came in the mail yesterday. I've read in several places that these need a good amount of burn in. Is it really the best thing to just let them run for 24hr straight or so? My first pair of IEMs so pretty much clueless and there's nothing in the manual about burn in.

I'd go with the RHAs. They have a great, rich sound – relatively heavy on the bass – and are a spectacular deal!
