I used to be really active at headfi in 2006-2007. Moving across the country and plenty of other stuff made me move away from the hobby though.
Anyway 3 weeks ago the ear buds I was using broke, so I decided to buy a pair of the Rockford Fosgate Punch Plugs.
They were fine at first.I used them at the gym and also mountain biking.
Anyway after one week one of the big plastic caps popped off of one of the right plug. This made the wiring inside exposed. I didn't see where this cap went. A few days later the left one also popped off when I was biking.
I wish I would have super glued the things on. Oh well.
Yesterday I am sitting on my laptop and the right channel just goes out. Thats right I am just sitting here surfing the web and bam. Right channel goes out.
The build quality on these things is pure crap. I have never had a $100 pair of headphones die after 3 weeks of normal use. I don't abuse my cans. I just use them lifting weights, riding my mountain bike, and using the internet. 3 weeks and they are toast.
So yeah buyer beware.
