This is my first review, so go easy guys!
I have been using the Sony XBA 1 IEMs for about 6 months, now, about a month ago I picked up some of the aforementioned comply foam tips. Without them, the bass is accurate, but a little light, and the treble is very pronounced, bordering on harsh.
With the foamies, the bass feels stronger, but still as accurate and not at all boomy or overpowering, and the trebles seem to have been tamed a little to make them slightly less fatiguing, yet still accented. The mod range doesn't seem to have changed, although a more discerning ear than mine might be able to find some changes.
The foam tips react with body heat and compress when you squeeze them, but expand slowly when you put them in your ear, leading to a better seal and comfort, as well as letting them stay in longer, a problem many have with IEMs. I would definitely recommend checking them out.
