I, too am waiting for my Equinox cables to arrive to see what happens to the sound of the HD590s. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

I had no complaints about the stock HD590s, actually - but I haven't listened to them since I received my AT-W1000s last week.

My plan was that since the headphones didn't really need an amp to drive them that I would try the cables first then see what kind of amp fits that. I usually do things backwards anyway. Mr Serdechny and Stefan audio mentioned that a tube amp might be the way to go so that's something else to think about. By the way a pat on the back to him for being more than patient with my stupid questions and changing my order in mid stream.

I got these recently and they're great. Very warm and punchy with clean mids!
