Have you tried contacting the manufacturer or dealer? That seem like a software problem to me.
I've recently sent it off for repairs, thankfully it was still under warranty. I'm guessing its a hardware issue as well seeing as the hard reset doesn't work, unless the software somehow blocks it from working...
