Exactly. There needs to be context and perspective here.

In regards to the 850 vs. Tenore. Totally different sigs. Totally. The 850 sounds pretty shouty and fatiguing in comparison due to the elevation from 3 to 7 kHz, and the heavily boosted bass. The Tenore has better genre bandwidth overall due to its neutrality. Detail retrieval, separation and staging are kind of a wash between the two. Dynamics would go to the FX850, which is able to convey attack/decay better than most phones I've listened to.

Timbral qualities between the two are totally different. The FX850 is colored next to the Tenore, but both are able to manage some really stunning sound. With that said, I enjoy the two of them greatly, but the Tenore just suits most music better. I like classical, jazz, vocal, electronic and some rock music out of the FX850. The energy of the FX850 just imparts this live feeling to music (the midrange in particular has this lifelike, and eerily "present" quality to it) vs. the Tenore which feels more like a perfect studio recording. You can do well to cover your bases by just owning these two phones.

Anywho, just so this isn't completely off topic, I should be receiving a pair of the Ostry's from James/Eke's little tour some time soon

I'm a little new to the this brand. Where would be a good place to buy the KC06A? I see the KC06 on Amazon but it seems as if the A is well worth looking for? Where would I wait to look if places are out of stock right now? Thanks!

Well to me the Kc06a has a better treble, seperation is also on par, Soundstage Depth goes to the Tenores, but I'd say the As will in width.

And so, no.
