can you be more specific on the indications? (please include black chassis too)

i'm planning to purchase one at a local store and hoping to get the "new" one instead of old stock.

There's no specific change on appearance of the black one.
I believe most of our retailers are selling the new one now. We stopped the production of old stock.

You can find the dsb dac driver in the zip file of 069 firmware.

Thanks, i didn't know it included. Now it successfully installed, foobar plays but skipped and stuttering a lot. Increased buffer but it didn't help. I use windows 7 x64. Any suggestion? Thanks before.

Btw, nice dap. Thumbs up.

I report too. In usb-dac mode when we are in idle, I hear rf sounds, crackling-popping like sounds. I changed stock cable, unwanted sound and jitter lowered but still going. Also mac and audiophile optimized pc's doing this issue. Is this caused from driver, asio or fw I dont know.

Please try to use different cables to test it again.
As it connects to computer, the influencing factor varies.

A few questions about this player:

- Will it work well with a Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250 Ohm?
- Is it possible to play from folders directly and completely disable any database / index? I'd rather not wait minutes re-indexing every time I copy a new album...
- Is there a limit on the number of songs in the disk (128 GB)?
- How quick is it to scroll through long lists of songs?
- Is hiss a real issue? This review makes me think that it might...

Thanks!

Thanks!

- it works
- can play from folders, and also supports index by album, artist and genre.
- The limit is around 65,000 files
- you are recommended to use folders to manage the songs, so that you don' t need to scroll too long for a long list.
- It depends on what earhpone and amp you are using with. And I think this is subjective feeling actually.

Thanks for replying.

Can you elaborate what is the recommended headphone impedance range for this player?

I understand that index is supported (all players do), but is it a must? If I copy an album to the card, will it trigger re-indexing or will the album be available for playing immediately?

Every computer connection or micro sd card insertion will trigger the re-indexing option if storage mode selected but indexing is very fast. My 2700 music files indexed under 2 mins.

Thats not problem for me. 2700 music files fit into 64gb micro sd and never faced performance issue. I'm trying 256gb sd without problem for one week. Never crashed, never freezed. But my library divided into artist/album folders. Nothing sit in root folder. I just need "play all" option inside every folder like sansa's firmware. Lastly, if play all options contains selectable folder option, ap100 will be fantastic.
