First of all…Tuberoller , please avert your eyes from this thread.

All clear? OK…

Oh my dear Zeus this is a frozen bit of heaven! Incredibly smooth and creamy with a perfect blast of real raspberry flavor bonded amorphously to the cream molecules. There are no seeds or other unneeded distractions. Rarely do I find such a perfect balance of flavors, and even rarer still that they are all great flavors! The bonus is that this is low-cal by HD standards. That means, of course, that you can eat a 30% larger serving than Dulce de Leche before the guilt demon sneaks up and shines a flashlight on your love handles.

Of course all iced cream desserts must be enjoyed at the right temperature. Heat them up slightly before diving in. This is where class A amplifiers come in handy!

Indulge, and enjoy.

It was once said that "chocolate chip cookie dough was the ice cream flavor invention of a lifetime".

If you find it in your heart to buy more, could you please do a follow up comparison between these opposing fighters?

I predict cookie dough flavor wins by TKO in the second round and stays undefeated. The only serious challenger is vanilla w/ real vanilla bean specks.

As luck would have it I just polished off a carton of the HD cookie dough a couple of days ago. Very nice, with a good quantity of real cookie dough chuncks spread throughout. The dough is in cylinders about 1/2" x 1/2", and is of good quality. The result is an occasional transition of flavors that is quite obvious and delicious! The chocolate chips are in the form of shavings, and are mixed within the ice-cream. Decent dark chocolate, formulated to melt at low enough temperature that you can actually taste them. Nice variety and complexity, without any component dominating. It is, however, a very different experience than the ultra smooth gelato, so I would never declare one the winner. It would just depend on my mood. You just have to get both.

Stay tuned, because I have a carton of HD blueberry cheesecake ice cream waiting in the freezer. As long as it is on sale I am going to keep trying new flavors.

gerG, thanks for the follow up.

Also curious if specific phones sound better matched with specific ice cream? Does specific ice cream taste better coupled with specific phones?

Please continue!
