God I hated the AD2000X so much, had to sell them asap, purchased an AD900X, much better!
Does the AD2000 sounds veils as the ad2000x?

I wouldn't consider AD2000X veil, I feel AD2000X is very transparent. AD2000X does however have quite a lot mid bass and lower mid bleeding to the mid which I assume you are talking about. AD2000X also has very strong warm colouration (electric violin sounded like acoustic violin) in the upper mid and lower treble.

AD2000 have neither those 2 characteristic of the AD2000X. There is no bleeding of mid bass or lower mid to the mid. The colouration range of AD2000 is in the mid.

I'm very late but now I KNOW what happened with this guy, Also happened to me but Now I know the reason Anyone interested why this guy (and me) found ad2000x as veiled? I Tried 7 different versions of ad2000x(mods, pads) and Listened about 7000 hours to ad900x, Did extensive testing and found the truth.
