Does this exist?
 
I walk to and from the bus stop each day, about 1.09km each way and there's typically quite a few pieces of trash along the way. Sometimes much more than a few. It would be cool if one of those spiked poles you see sometimes for picking up trash, came in a retractable variety. Then I could keep it in my backpack (can't walk around campus with what's effectively a polearm).
 
Similarly, some kind of reusable bag contraption would be wonderful, instead of using a garbage bag every single day (kind of defeats the purpose if i do that yknow).
