I just received them today along with a NuForce Icon HDP. I wanted to try them out on my NAD C326BEE amp and plugged in the headphones. Upon power down, there's a bunch of weird sounds coming from the cans. This does not exhibit itself when using the NuForce. So... what was that? Are my headphones ok? Thanks!

Probably the caps discharging (volume is at zero, right?), a few amps do so. I would disconnect the cans from the amp if you are concerned.
