I have a bunch of my dad's comic books. Uncle Scrooge, Richie Rich, Archie, Jughead, Twilight Zone, Walt Disney, Loony Toons, Betty and Me, Betty and Veronica, Dennis the Menace, and assorted others. Circa early 70's. They are pretty torn up and I assume hold very little value. So they are going to the garage sale. I know this is a fairly broad question but what do you think I should sell them for?

Most on eBay are mint, mine aren't.

'Pretty torn up'? Taking that literally, not too many $$$ then. Try arranging a visit to a comix store for a quick once over. They may even make you an offer depending on rarity, resale value & condition. There may be online resources too. I usually go by Ebay prices for my 60s collections (ie I hope to get what someone is willing to pay rather than the strict market price.)

If you have a lot of comix @ low value it may also be worth selling them in job lots.

I would say 10 for $1. If they're in really bad shape I wouldn't even bother going to a comics store. Stick to the garage sale.
