While I have not heard them in person, I've heard pretty good things about the zmf classics, which are a modded t50rp. They have very subdued eyes, which should hopefully help with the tinnitus. They are still very detailed in the mids and lows, but they should be even better than the sennheisers for your ears. They have thick pads which makes them very comfortable (I've used similar). The only thing I can't find is the cable length. I would recommend the stock cable, I wouldn't mess around with anything else. They cost $300 direct from ZMF, can't can be found at this link:

Got in contact with zmf, the standard comes with two cables, one 3.5mm one 1/4 inch which are 4 ft and 7 ft respectively. If you need anything logger, a 12' extension can be had for $10:

I recommend the extension because the plug is on the side of the headphones and a longer male to make cable would be awkward. If you need an adapter for ¼ in jack, those are very cheap, and I recommend this one made by v mods because of their warranty. It can be found here:

Hello Sonic,

Perhaps I am wrong but I don't think its subdued highs that I may need.  The "squeal" I hear 24/7 is "I believe" around 7.3khz, so anything in and around that area would be overshadowed by my internal noise.  I have tried using a PEQ to boost that region but it doesn't seem to do a lot of good with respect to the intelligibility of the spoken word.   Perhaps its a lost cause.

As well the ZMF's are out of my price range considering the exchange rate between the Canadian and American dollar.
