I remeber coming accross a link that was for a guy who made headphone amps, he made on in particular that stood out, it was made out of a tin box used for mints? Could anyone provide a link, i dont recall the name of the place (if i did would have used yahoo search hehe).

Hi...

I'm going to move this to the amplification section, but I can tell you that it is either a CMOY, or a CHA47 and various amp builders made these (you can have a look in mall-fi as there are a couple of amp builders there)...
