Hi, everyone! I'm a middle-aged music lover from the Caribbean.
 
For years, I've been using Koss Porta-Pro and then my Sennheiser PX-100 headphones for an affordable, high-quality mobile listening experience; but I'm ready to upgrade.
 
Preliminary reading has led to the following list of options:
 
$200  V-Moda Crossfade LP2
$200  V-Moda XS
$75    Phillips Fidelio M1 (but I've read that the highs are muted)
$60    Sennheiser HD 219s
 
I strongly prefer a closed headphone with an inline microphone, because my primary use will be mobile, in shared spaces.
I prefer a more compact set of phones, but I'm resigned to the possibility of a bit of extra bulk for better low-frequency performance.
I'm a longstanding basshead, but I don't like muted highs.
 
Are there any comments or recommendations for me?
