Could anyone take a picture of the ie8's in their ear but without the wire going over the ear (so I assume you'll have to switch the earphones themselves) and some of the regular tips in. I want to see how low profile they are. I will probably use the small tips as this is what I usually use.

Thats all with the regular silicone tips. And yes you are correct- you have to switch around the left and right earphones unless you like some crazy angles
