I have been using a Creative Zen Nano Plus, and while it has excellent sound for what it is, I am in need of another player since the wife has grown fond of the nano too.
I ALWAYS listen with an amp. The amps the one in my sig. I want a player that:
1. Able to have line out
2. Able to have user setable EQ
3. Very small form factor - the x5 and HD Ipods are too big.
4. Must do well for mp3's, but I would like to try FLAC as well, since we have a few hundred CD's. SQ is very important.
5. Must have good synergy with the Grado line, especially SR80 and RS2.
6. Must be able to play any mp3's I already have without jumping through too many hoops.
7. I do not care about video's, only music, and needs an interface/buttons thats easy to use without looking at it everytime.
I am interested in the Cowan smaller products, if they can have lineout. I am also considering an Ipod Nano, but thats about the max size wize. It would immediately be rockboxed but I am not crazy about Itunes interface.
Recommendations ?
