I have a pair of Heir Audio 8.a's and recently the pins from the headphone have broken off inside. Great, right? Problem is when I went to HA's website every page gets hit with a malicious software issue. Between that and a few other factors I'm considering finding a third-party to make the repairs to my headphones.

Far as I know it means drilling out the pins or something to that effect.

Has anyone tried a third-party repair service before? I'm considering finding a jeweler somewhere in San Francisco (where I live) and seeing if they can help me out.

Might check the DIY threads for advice- possibly on the Home Made IEM thread?

Could try asking @PETEREK - does headphone mods, recables and stuff like that, has a great reputation here. There are also a couple companies that do CIEM reshells, they might be able to help out too.

Jewler doesn't seem like a bad idea though.. maybe an electronics repair shop?
