Hi,

I'm currently mourning the death of my FA-004s.

The plug is broken, I tried finding someone to fix the cable, no luck for now in Montreal, Canada. I tried cutting the cord, and connecting it to another cable I bought on ebay but no luck.

So I'm looking for either help on the recabling process (if someone can help a newb), or a replacement.

In terms of recabling, I would need pointers on the type of cables I would need. I opened them and saw that I would need a soldering iron also.

* In terms of replacing, I really liked the sound on the FA-004s, and the price.
* I need somewhat good insulation as I use them in public transportation.
* I also liked the style of them (kinda retro and original). In the more current models, I really love the style of the Philips Fidelio L2 if it can be any indication. Also looked at CAL!2 the price is interesting.
* I need a single detachable cord, no more cable breaking please !

Thanks !
