Hi Guys,
Just got my 580s

from ebay, but one of the drivers is dead (expected, was told about it.) Should I order a new driver from Sennheiser? Is there any other (cheaper) option? Should I just mail the whole set into Sennheiser? Is there a faq on replacing drivers and grills? (I want to do the 600 grill thing... big audio difference?) Anyway, thank you for your patience with my million questions.

If you're sure it's the driver and the the cable then yes, I would send the whole unit back to Sennheiser. The wires on the other side of your cable connection are VERY small gauge and it may take an experienced trchnician to work with that. Also, don't expect an difference you can hear with the 600 grills though they do add a lot as far as appearances.

I agree with JJ3810, send them to Sennheiser if you're sure its not a faulty cable. And replacing the grills is more an appearance thing, imo.
