I was a long time user of my HD-590's, and I loved their comfort, but the sound was a little lacking. A few weeks ago I purchased a pair of SR-60's. I am totally hooked on the Grado sound, but the (lack of) comfort leaves me longing for my Senns again. A friend just walked by and suggested that I take the drivers out of my SR-60's and put them into my HD-590's, hopefully achieveing Grado sound with Senn comfort.

Has anyone every tried replacing the drivers in Senn HD-590's or any Senn model? I assume that removing the drivers from either pair will be the easy part, but mounting them will be more difficult. I realize that I first need to ensure that the Grado drivers are the same size and will actually fit in the HD-590's, but I have not gotten that far yet.

Any advice and/or experience would be greatly appreciated.
