My Sennheiser HD 495s are worn out. The pads are crumbling and you can't get replacements anywhere, so I'm looking for replacements.
I like the 495s because they are light and open, but sound pretty good. Not expensive either. Looking at the current Sennheiser range they don't seem to do anything similar, but I'm not loyal to any particular brand. I have a couple of different amps so I'm sure one will suit. The main thing is that they have to be comfortable and not get too hot with extended use.
I like a good bit of bass and mid range. A pleasant and not too aggressive sound, warm and clean I guess you would say.
