Hi, I just broke the tip off one of my SE-535 earbuds. I shipped them in to Shure for repair and was quoted about $200, $100 apiece to replace/repair each side.
So far as I can tell, the drivers still work fine. But the shells/cases could be replaced as one is cracked and they're dirty.
Anyway, is it possible to buy and install replacement shells yourself? Would love to save $200. Thanks.
Also – if there are any affordable alternatives lmk. The Drop/JVC earbuds to me sound better (they sound GREAT) but are not as comfortable or isolating. Isolation and comfort are my top priorities over sound quality. If there's an affordable option that offers all three I'd be all over it. Thanks.
