Does anyone know where to get replacement earpads for a500s? Audiocubes have a900 replacement pads listed but no where does it say those pads are compatible with a500s. I would assume they use the same pads, but I just wanted to make sure. Or if anyone has replaced a500 pads with better ones, that would be awesome. My pads are totally worn out and its hard to justify spending $50 on replacement pads for a $99 headphone.

the A500, A700, A900 all use the same replacement pad, the HP-A900.

Yes, A1000 pads will fit into A500's. I have A900LTD fitted with A1000 pads and I can fit those pads to my A500s.

is there a velour or some sort of velvet earpad replacement for the a500? I just think they will be more comfy than the artificial leather

Also a place where they can be purchased would be nice. Thanks!

True, but I figure I would just keep this so people wouldn't possibly have to repeat everything already stated. Or at least that is what I like to tell myself.

I seriously doubt it, it should just be a comfort improvement.

While I agree the actual sound the headphones produce won't change, I've found that the ear pads on my brand new Audio-Technica ATH-A700 is just too "noisy" and detract from the music while listening at low volume levels.

Between the thin fake leather and the foam used, the ear pads transmit more noise than other headphones I've tried. The problem for me is a "bristling" sound when moving my head around. My hair (which is short around the ears) will bristle against the foam when I move my head. This sound is transmitted through the pads and can be quite annoying. I have to keep my head perfectly still to eliminate it.

For those who own a pair of A500/A700/A900's, listen closely while "scrunching" the pad and you can hear a spongy sound. I've also noticed that they don't seem to block out as much external sound as other closed-back headphones I've tried (Sennheiser MD-280, JBL 420).

So for those who've experienced both W1000 pads and A500/700/900 pads:

Are the W1000 pads "quieter" and provide better sound isolation?

Could someone, please, tell me the inside dimensions
of A900 and A1000 pads? I mean depth and inside diameter?
