[Peripety]

Hey Guys,
 
Around a couple of months ago I purchased a pair of Sennheiser HD700 headphones. I had been contemplating upgrading the cable and recently it seems to have broken. I was able to determine that it is the cable as one side of the earphones does not work, corresponding to a specific side of the cable when I switch it around. I'm not sure why it's not working as it's in near mint condition and not been used much at all. So my question is whether or not there is a suitable cable for the headphones which I can replace the stock one with? I ask because I live in Western Australi and have been unable to find a replacement anywhere online within Australia even after several hours of searching.

Hey mate, my cable broke too, was happy to find this sennheiser cable fits the HD 700 too, just ordered it:

It's the cable from the HD 212 Pro.

sorry for hijacking this but my cable is about to go kaput too soon so i was wondering if anybody could recommend a cable with the same sound quality but not 160€ price tag as the original. thanks in advance!!

You could inquire with these guys, as far as custom cables go they are the best deal I've found. Not sure what shipping will run but most of their stuff is well under 100usd.

As for a custom made in the EU, even if I found someone offering what looks like a good cable for about 100 I would not feel comfortable linking you to anything I don't have myself or have not seen many reviews of to confirm quality.
 
The two off of amazon at about 25 seem worthy of a shot in the dark.

Hey any of you guys tried the 25 dollar cables? I would like a replacement cable as well and these seem reasonably priced but I'm questioning the quality. Anyone able to confirm if any good?
