After a year and a couple months the cable to my SF5 Pro has started to go out on me. It's shorting out on the left side. I know it's the cable because I switch the drivers and the problem is on the same side of the cable.

I know that in the past people have recommended the Westone ES replacement cables. I haven't visited the portables forum in a long time so I am wondering, is there another cable that I should consider instead of the Westone ES?

Thanks in advance!

I would go for the original new cable. It is very very soft in comparison with the older model. Also, there is no need for modification. I have the old version and a friend of mine just received the new version. It is MUCH better. I think I will buy one, because it is WAY less stiff.

You can recognise it thanks to its straight plug.

Edit: There seems to be a problem with the link: sometimes it points to the old version, sometimes to the new...weird
