i just replaced one of my 325i driver-holding things (you know, the thing with the silver post) with one from my sr60, now it's all loose...it slides up and down super easy. anyone know how i can fix this? the 60 and 325i driver holders both look exactly the same, including the post diameters. i don't know what's wrong.

and if you're curious, i replaced it because of that manufacturing defect with the pin holes. my sr60 had a flawless mold...so i switched it.

Try painting the rod with a few coats of clear nail varnish (let it dry before reassembly

). Failing that get some thumb screws and install some DIY rod locks.

Go to the hardware store and get some small O-rings and slide them on. You could also use heat-shrink, or set-screw collars.

If you're adventurous you could do that rod-lock mod. Someone had pics of theirs last month.
