I currently got into planar headphones and i am looking to make some changes.

My current setup is Modi 2 -> JDS objective 3 -> Vali 2 (with a RCA Cleartop Tube)

I have been running for the last year with sennhiser 6xx and AKG 7xx headphones

Recently i got a really good deal on the BrainWaves Alara.

so i am looking to swap out the Objective 3 for a Loki (from what i have read / watched the objective 3 introduces muddy bass)

I am wondering if i need to swap the amp to a Magni Heresy. its been really hard to find info on planar headphones and tube pre-amps (mostly they talk about full tube amps and how they can cause issues)

I also have been reading that planars take a bit of amperage to run, and the vali 2 has less power then the heresy.

Music types: mostly edm and synthpop/electronic rock.

Don't worry about the Vali.
It has enough juice to drive the alara, which are similar/close to my Era-1.

Tube pre-amps just adds (harmonic) distortions to the signal.
