Hey everyone, I have a Marantz 2275 Receiver that has been sitting around for a while because it won't power on. I was wondering if you guys knew a few tweaks I could look for on the inside to make it work. I know nothing about technical electronics stuff. Thanks for your help.

Easiest thing to check is the fuses. If they look to be in good condition look for obvious signs of failure (e.g. burned up resistors, capacitors, loose connections, etc...). Be careful though since capacitors can be dangerous even when the unit isn't plugged in, so don't go poking randomly.

However, if you have no idea what your doing you're probably best off taking it into an audio repair shop.

I agree. DON'T ruin the receiver by randomly poking around. BTW, I own a Marantz 2275 and think it's one of their finest sounding AND looking receivers. Good Luck.
