[Rescue Toaster]

My HD600's are starting to get worn out.

New ear pads are in the plans, $40, no problem there. (That does buy a PAIR from sennheiser, right? Not $40 ea?)

Is the HD580 headband cushion the correct one for the HD600's too? Can't imagine why they'd be different, but they don't list it as a part for the HD600 so I thought I'd check:

The paint on the grills is coming off too. My plan is to just strip them completely and put a coat of clear sealant on them (I like the steel gray look fine). Any pitfalls to watch out for here? Or are there affordable replacement grills available somewhere?

as for the grills, you can call them and ask for it. it's not on the web but they do have it. it may take some time to get it tho. they go around $12.. i think..

650 grills are much more expensive. get the 600 ones.

You're going to find it very challenging to find a paint stripper than won't melt down the plastic outer housing on the grills, I'd just buy a new pair from Sennheiser.
