I installed Rockbox onto my new Clip+ to give it a try after hearing so much praise. It works well but I actually like the interface of the stock firmware more. I used the Rockbox utility to install the firmware and now am having trouble uninstalling it.

I select "Complete Uninstall" which is successful but when I try to remove the boot loader, I get this error: "Rockbox Utility can not uninstall the bootloader on this target. Try a normal firmware update to remove the bootloader." Only thing is, the firmware on the clip is current and I cannot update it (1.02.15).

Has anyone run into this issue? How can I restore the original firmware?

Download firmware directly : http://mp3support.sandisk.com/firmware/clipplus/clipplus01.02.15.zip. Extract the files into the root folder of Clip+. You should be back with OF after 'firmware upgrade' and reboot.

If you're having with missing capacity like I did, do a complete wipe of the disk.  On OSX I just used disk utility to delete everything.  I believe you can just right click on windows and format it.

Edit//  That wipe will also wipe roxbox and will only leave the Sansa firmware.
