Yeah... I sorta got some black marker on my white akg headphones, and I can't seem get all of it off. It's not a big deal to me, but I may sell in the near future. Any recommendations?

my boss has always said that she uses dry erase marker to remove permanent marker, it might be worth a try but have never done it myself. I have always used organic solvents like acetone (fingernail polish remover), Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), or ethanhol (vodka/everclear). Using a solvent might smear it around a bit at first, and you might want to try it out on an unconspicuous spot first. good luck

This may sound crazy, but the best thing for removing "permanent" marker is a little bit of hairspray on a rag. Worked every time for me

Alcohol based Permanant marker can be removed with alcohol without damaging most finishes. Try using a 50% Iso...not a 90%.

Thanks guys, I think I may have some alcohol somewhere... just don't wanna ruin that k701 toilet bowl whiteness.

Well I'd try isopropyl alcohol as has been suggested or methylated spirits.

I have no idea of that headphone model but if it isn't painted you could try mineral turpentine, it's a paint stripper though so that's why I wouldn't use it on paint.

Isopropyl alcohol will take it right off.

I find citrus-based solvents and cleaners much more effective for lots of things, but you definitely want to try them on an inconspicuous area of the plastic before the ink marks. I like the idea of the dry erase marker more, if it actually works.
