Ok. here is the deal I've got a home theater setup where I'd like to use my headphones to listen to music and movies when the kids are sleeping. Only problem is my AV reciever is 19 feet away on the other side of a wall and I would like to avoid a wire running across the room.
In case it matters the reciever I'm using is a Pioneer Elite 92TXH
Temporary Solution:
Output sound from stereo to a computer and use my Sennheiser MM400 Bluetooth.
Long term solution:
Option 1: Run a 35' Headphone extension through celling and down the back wall.
I don't have a 6.3mm headphone cable handy do find out if I will have to walk into the other room and plug in or unplug every time I want to switch between speakers and headphones.
Option 2: Run RCA out on the Reciever to 35' to a headphone amp.
Option 3: Pick up another pair of headphones specifically for this...wireless this time (something like Sennheiser RS 180).
Option 4: Get some sort of wireless (remember Line of site solutions won't work) Amp/DAC allowing me to use any of my headphones giving me long term flexability and not have wires running around at all.
Option 5: Hit me with your ideas.
Sound Quality, Convience and cost are all factors.
